Heath is a 5 year old male golden retriever.
He MUST have a large confident dog in his forever home.
Heath is a beautiful 5 year old cream colored golden (about 60 lbs) who is looking for his forever home. He would do best with another confident dog because he is still learning how great it is to be an indoor dog. He still gets a little nervous being in the house, but each day he is becoming more relaxed and settled. Heath loves people, and will come up to his foster family for petting and attention.
He is house-trained, and sleeps quietly on the floor of our bedroom. He is great with kids and other dogs. He loves to explore the backyard and has lots of energy, but his favorite thing is to be out on a leash, walking the neighborhood. It was pretty apparent that he never really walked on a leash before, but he is highly motivated to learn and has made huge improvements in his first few days.
Heath will need a family that is willing to teach him basic commands, house manners and will continue to work with him with leash walking as well. Heath is very quiet, we have yet to hear him bark or growl. He enjoys getting combed and is such a happy dog. He is so loving and wants to please his people. With a little extra TLC, Heath will be an amazing addition to a very lucky family!
