Hootie is an adorable 3 ish year old smaller guy (he weighs 48#) with a big personality! He was picked up as a stray, but was obviously someone's pet, before disaster struck. He has been a perfect gentleman since he has been in his foster home. Not one destructive misstep, he has stuck to nylabones and toys. Gets along great with his foster siblings, big and little. The cat has taken it upon herself to refine his education on personal space; she seems satisfied with his progress. He sleeps through the night on a dog bed in the bedroom.
He is a wonderful TV snuggle buddy, never demands petting, just quietly cuddles up, so nice. He really needs a home where he can cuddle up on a couch and be close. He hasn't shown any separation anxiety when left; but of course, he has his dog buddies.
He walks well on leash but has some lingering insecurities off leash at this time. To let him have some freedom on walks and give him some security his foster clips two leashes together. This has worked well and seems to give him the reassurance he needs.
Hootie was heart worm positive but, is now cured. He will need to be on heart worm prevention the rest of his life. However, all dogs should have this and GRFR is paying for the first six months.
Could you be his forever home?
