Meet handsome Brody, a two year old male mix weighing about 50 pounds. He is friendly, alert, curious, energetic and very smart. Brody needs plenty of activity or a job to do. We think he has herding breed in him, so no young children, please. After exercise, he settles down nicely in the house, and enjoys curling up near his family. He really likes to stay near his humans and will follow us from room to room.
Brody likes to play, wrestle and run with other dogs. He briefly met a big, easy-going cat at the vet's office, and he was interested but not aggressive.
Brody is house trained. He goes right in the crate if a treat is tossed in first. He also loves a frozen, peanut butter and treat-filled Kong to help him settle for a longer stay. He walks well on leash (mostly) and sits for treats. We are working on come, not counter surfing (he's so curious), and riding calmly in the car - he's already improving on all of these. Brody would benefit from continued positive training with his new forever family.
Brody is currently working with a professional trainer. He would love to transition from the professional trainer directly into a forever home. He'll do best in a quiet home with an active human. He loves to run alongside a bicycle. He needs structure and routine in his daily life.
